Can You Recommend A Good Brand And Model Of Binoculars For Amateur Astronomical Viewing?

Garrett Optical sells good binoculars. You could try 10x50 or 11x70 binoculars. I own 15x70 binoculars that I consider helpful in light polluted skies, though it takes a steady hand at 15x without a tripod. I've also purchased 25x100 binoculars from Garrett, though these need a heavy duty tripod and head to use effectively.

You’ll need binoculars with a large objective lens to gather light. Think of buying a tripod, even at 10 power it becomes hard to keep the binoculars stable for long viewing times.
Some of these links are basic info and some have binoculars for sale.http://www.opticsplanet.net/binastro.htm…http://www.skyandtelescope.com/howto/how…http://www.astronomics.com/main/category…http://www.binoculars.com/binoculars/lon…
I am really sorry to say this but you should not go straight to a telescope! First get some experience by learning the sky with a pair on Binocs and a good star chart. I could really recommend the Celestron UpClose 10×50 with a 7* FOV and S&T’s Pocket Sky Atlas. These two things go great together and they a very cheap! Another thing that you could do is get a binocular adaptor for a camera tripod. costs about $25 for a adapter and a tripod.
But you could also go and just get a pair of Wal-Mart Binocs and a printed online chart. (Works good too) It won’t be as good as the Celestron but it will work just fine.
any decent 7×50 or 10×50 binoculars will serve you well. ask at a camera or sporting goods store. consider image stabilized binoculars if you can afford them.
buy and read a copy of gary seronik’s binocular book. it’s really cool.
to be honest, if you can afford to pay good money then go for a telescope, the vibration and woble of binoculars makes it very difficult though if you really want binos then Nikon make a pair with vibration reduction built in.

That's all you need to get started as a screenwriter.
Here’s an interesting test: measure your Risk Quotient. It’s a 50 question survey of a set of questions, some simple and some obscure, in which you estimate your confidence in providing an answer. You aren’t scored on just getting the right answer, but on whether you accurately assess your likelihood of being right — if you answer wrongly but with great confidence and certainly you’ll score poorly, but if you answer just as wrongly but with a more cautious appraisal of your certainty, you’ll score better. If you’ve got a serious case of the Dunning-Kruger effect, you might want to avoid the survey. It won’t help your self-esteem.
I scored an 83. I’m completely uncertain about whether that is good or bad.

Google didn’t need to “turn on” this service either. They already have Orkut to manage social connections. It didn’t need to be “turned on” for millions. They already have a service that does this – use it.
good song so is the jams version
Wow, the Philip K. Dick joke did not fly in this audience. Guess that shows how *not* mainstream Blade Runner is these days. Feeling old now.
so a swim suit model, or is the timing just a coinicedence?

I recommend that you start with a good wildflower guide(Petersons is one). The reason being is that you can learn how to identify plants not only by the flowers but leave and stem structure as well. This is important to know for any plant identification, wheather the plant is growing in the wild or the garden.
There are some journals… like old articles in BMJ that are on;y available as html and not as PDFs. I can see that this might be a solution…possibly. But I have generally not found the Mendeley importer to be that useful….. actually I am probably going to buy Endnote for home computer for doctorate as Mendeley still too many weaknesses at present.
