It's just like gas… if people are willing to pay it, they'll charge it. Tour Edge had to start out as a "no brand" company and now they are getting recognition so they are striking while the iron is hot.
Tommy Armour, Slazenger, Precept, Wilson, and Top-Flite all used to be considered premium brands in golf at one point in history. Now they are "lower grade" it's all about consumer buzz… and of course a little bit of technology and R & D.
