How to fix double picture in binoculars?

I have 12x50 Wide-Angle Orion WorldView Binoculars. they focus fine but the picture is doubled. it looks fine if you close one eye or the other. is there a way to fix that?

the hinge is there to accommodate people with different distance between eyes, it doesn't make an impact on this problem. every one who looked through them described same issue. no matter how narrow or wide hinge was extended.

If all you want to do is wish, there's a pair of binoculars on Mt. Graham that i'd like. Maybe 8000×8400. Not very portable, but they've got it on a pretty good mount. I'd be totally cool with leaving it where it is.
If you live within 100 miles of me (South East Michigan), i'll bring my scope out to your "middle of nowhere". I live in the "bright spot". Really. I don't bring a flashlight observing because i can find a contact lens dropped in the grass without one.

because thats what they have been fed all their life, they have a deep rooted fear. It would be nice if they said “well we dont want you to dress like that but if you do then thats your problem” when a persons own lifes is in danger because of their beliefs thats just sad..
