What can you see in the sky with a pair of binoculars?

I bought some Galileo 10-30x60 binoculars with a tabletop tripod the other day and was wondering what astronomical things I might could see around this time of year with them? Light pollution isn't that much of an issue because I live in a small town in Mississippi to begin with and I can easily get in the middle of slap no where (I've done it before and the skies are brilliant!). Thanks!

You will be able to see way more stars than with the naked eye, nice views of the moon, and maybe some nebula and whatnot. Go outside and take a look!
There is a whole host of objects in the night sky just for binoculars…..there are also several sky charts available strictly for binocular objects.
Here are just a few……..

The Astronomical League has several observing programs that are geared towards binocular viewing. While you need to be a AL member to receive the award, the observing lists are free for anyone to use.

I would also look at using a mount for the binoculars, so that you are not always holding them. Something like this can be made by just about anyone with simple tools.

I should have taken a photo of my neighbor’s yard (to the left of me). The light has now, somehow, made his yard darker. Before, there was some soft yellow light touching it. The neighbor across the street from me, I can no longer see his backyard. Before I could. So, now if someone’s sneaking over there, I wouldn’t see it because the foreground is so bright.
They could be in the top ten easily. The Bryans are the future and the present, Their doubles is awesome.
